This Privacy Policy explains how CV Maker & Resume Builder handles information when you use the app.
1. Information You Enter Into the App
You may choose to enter information into the app in order to create, edit, analyze, save, import, export, or manage resumes and cover letters.
This information may include:
- Name, job title, email address, phone number, and location
- Profile photo
- Professional summaries and career objectives
- Work experience and achievements
- Education history
- Skills and technologies
- Projects
- Certifications and credentials
- Languages and proficiency levels
- Awards, volunteering, courses, publications, training, interests, and references
- Job descriptions that you paste into the app for local ATS or keyword matching
- Cover-letter content
- Custom CV templates, images, PDFs, and element mappings
- Resume data imported from JSON files
- Backup files that you choose to create or restore
This information is used only to provide the features you request inside the app.
2. Local Processing and Storage
Your resume data, cover letters, job descriptions, custom templates, app settings, and related information are processed locally on your device.
The app automatically saves resume drafts and other supported content locally so that you can continue your work later.
We do not operate a remote account system or cloud database that stores your CV content, and we do not receive the information you enter into your resumes.
3. Custom CV Template Cloning
The app allows you to select JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF files and use them as custom CV templates.
Template previewing, PDF first-page rendering, field mapping, editing, resizing, positioning, and template saving are performed on your device.
Custom templates and CV files are not sent to an external artificial intelligence service or uploaded to our servers.
4. Offline Writing Assistance
Features such as summary drafting, achievement-writing assistance, profession-based skill suggestions, cover-letter drafting, ATS scoring, resume recommendations, and job-description keyword matching operate locally.
The app does not send your resume or job-description content to an external AI provider for these features.
5. ATS Scores and Job Matching
ATS scores, resume completion scores, strengths, recommendations, keyword matches, and potentially missing keywords are estimates generated locally by the app.
Job descriptions that you paste into the app remain on your device unless you explicitly export or share related content yourself.
6. Resume and Cover-Letter Exports
The app can generate or export files such as PDF resumes, editable DOCX resumes, JSON resume data, cover-letter PDFs, and backup files.
Exported files are saved or shared only when you choose an export, save, or share action.
If you choose to share a file using another app or service, such as email, messaging, cloud storage, or a file-sharing provider, that third party's privacy practices will apply after the file leaves CV Maker & Resume Builder
7. Import and Backup Features
You may import validated resume JSON files or restore a local backup. Imported data is processed and stored locally.
Backup files are created only when you choose to create a backup. You are responsible for where you save or share those backup files.
8. Device Permissions
The app may request access to files, documents, photos, or media when required for a feature you initiate, such as:
- Selecting a profile photo
- Importing an image or PDF template
- Importing resume JSON or backup files
- Saving or exporting a resume, cover letter, or backup
These permissions are used only to perform the requested local function. We do not use these permissions to silently upload your personal files.
9. Accounts
CV Maker & Resume Builder does not require account registration or sign-in.
Because there is no app account, we do not collect usernames, passwords, or account-profile information for operating the app.
10. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
CV Maker & Resume Builder does not display advertisements and does not use analytics or tracking tools to monitor your behavior across apps or websites.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your resume information or personal data.
11. Data Sharing
We do not share your resume content, cover letters, job descriptions, custom templates, or other locally stored CV information with third parties because this information is not transmitted to us.
Data may leave the app only when you deliberately use a device feature to export, save, or share a file with another application or service.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
Data created in CV Maker & Resume Builder remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's storage, uninstall the app, or otherwise remove the relevant files.
The app provides tools to delete resumes, drafts, cover letters, cloned template files, and other locally stored app content.
You may also use the app's option to delete all locally stored resume data and supported files.
Because we do not maintain server-side copies of your CV information, we cannot restore locally deleted information for you.
13. Security
We design the app to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of personal information by keeping resume-related processing on your device.
However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. You should protect your device using appropriate security features such as a PIN, password, fingerprint, face authentication, or other device security options.
You should also take care when exporting or sharing resumes because resumes commonly contain personal contact and employment information.
14. Children's Privacy
CV Maker & Resume Builder is a productivity tool for creating resumes, CVs, and related career documents.
We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through our servers because resume and CV information is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.
15. Third-Party Apps and Services
When you choose to open, save, or share exported content using another app or service, your interaction with that third party is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
CV Maker & Resume Builder is not responsible for how third-party applications handle information that you intentionally send to them.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features, privacy practices, or legal requirements change.
When we update this page, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of the policy.
